Hot Dogs

Oh oh! Mommy's really mad with us today. She rushed to bring us for a walk before going to work. She even brought us to the bridge side of the river where there are lots of trees to pee against and spots to sniff. Clever Mommy!

But it was really hot so we got kinda heatstroked. We couldn't even make it halfway through the whole leg of our usual walk before we were ducking under the trees and panting pleadingly at Mommy. So, ok! We cut short our walk and headed back.

But when Mommy tried to get us back on our leashes, Kobi decided he had other plans and trotted off to sit in the shade near the kindergarten. Mommy kept calling him but he just sat there, tongue hanging out, giving his silly panting grin. Mommy used the play-play tone, the commanding tone, even the fierce tone with a threat of the 'pain of the cane'.

But there Kobi remained.

Mommy was really pissed, coz there were a lot of construction workers from a river-side building project staring at this mad woman shouting at a little dog sitting 20metres away. She leashed me and Snowie and stalked off.

Sure enough. That rascal Kobi panicked. He saw us leaving without him ('What? Leaving The Man-Nyak behind? How can Mommy bear to do that??' he must have thought).

We heard his whines before we saw him come dashing to catch up. Mommy gave him the cold shoulder for a few more seconds while he kept 'heeling' ingratiatingly.

Still, Mommy was really mad coz Kobi's defiance made her late for work. I don't like Mommy to go to work. I wish she could go on long leave again like last month, so I can snuggle up and sleep on her lap all day. She's in a much better mood when she's not working.
