The Return of 'Ira'

Today, the man called 'Denis' returned Snowie's baby girl, whom he named Ira.

Hmm. This is the second time he's returned Snowie's babies -- both times girls!! He told Mommy that he couldn't cope with two dogs. He also took Dennis, whom he has now named Dank.

Daddy was angry with 'Denis' and told Mommy to return the money he paid and take back both Snowie's pups. But Mommy says 'Denis' has made lots of effort, and maybe it's better for 'Denis' to keep just one dog if he can cope better. More love for the dog then!

Still, Mommy is worried that Dennis/Dank will not have company and be a very bored and untrained and naughty dog (the way Poppy was -- up to no good and ignoring all attempts at toilet training and pooping just behind the main door so the poop would be spread in a wide arc when the door was opened [ha ha Snowie has heard the tales!] -- before Snowie came along and taught him a thing or two) without Girl/Pebbles/Ira's company.

Dank is still so young. If she had been selling 'Denis' just one dog, she would have waited till Dank were 3 months old at least, then he'd be properly socialised and also more independent.

Should Mommy ask 'Denis' to return Dank for fostering till he's 'of age' first? Snowie thinks so! Ruff!!

Mommy was quite miffed that 'Denis' treated Snowie's precious puppies like merchandise -- there's NO Return & Exchange Counter in the world of pets dude!

However, Mommy has seen the pictures of Dank and Girl/Pebbles/Ira's new home. It's not that 'Denis' doesn't love them or make the effort. In fact, as the pictures will show you, he has spent a lot of money and effort to make a really nice new home for them. Check them out at http://pachome1.pacific.net.sg/gallery/view_album.php?page=1&piuid=denismok

The original tiny playpen. Toooooo tiny, Dennis! No wonder the pups went crazy.

Pups sleeping in their new crate. Dank is the one with the head pointing skywards. Isn't he the cutest? Ruff!

The playpen's nice and big now, rightly so because RUFF! We are Jack Russells! We need space to run and jump and roll around. And at least the toilet newspaper isn't so close to their sleeping quarters now!

How about a nice playrug outside the dogbed so Dank doesn't have to lie on the cold floor? ;)

And maybe our waterdish can be moved further from the toilet?

Hope 'Denis' lets Dank out whenever he's home... And brings him on nice long walks to exercise and expend his energy too, once he gets all his shots.

Snowie also hopes that Dank doesn't chew up his beautiful comfy-looking spongy dogbed! Snowie knows that if Mommy gave us doggies one or two or three, those beds would be cloth and filling all over the kitchen floor by the end of the night! Ruff!

Who's gonna be Dank's sleeping buddy now?

2 WoofBacks!

Ahhhh, so adorably c---ute. I think it's important to keep Dank with other dogs until he's 8-9 weeks old cause there's a dog on the block over where they didn't do that and he attacks dogs whenever they come close to his yard.

Denis should think of dogs as a life and a spirit and not stuff to trade - I agree!

Hope you get a sleeping buddy - mine is my eight year old human boy - I sleep on the floor in his room at night. It's great to have a buddy . . .

Grrrrr. Snowie, the poop behind the door incident was all part of the learning curve.

Cal, it's a pity about that unsocialised dog... Would you agree though, that it's in some dogs' characters? Coz (shhh) Kobi doesn't like dogs other than us either!

Especially the big Golden Retriever, Ayumi, we meet at the river on our walks! He even (shhh) peed on Mommy's leg while barking like crazy coz he was so scared of Ayumi, though Goldens are such gentle giants!

Since that meeting, Kobi's been really antisocial. Mommy doesn't know how to get Kobi to be friendly to other dogs again...
